Customer: Oras Invest
Event: Oras Invest 20th Anniversary Seminar and Gala Dinner
Date: 5 June 2025
Location: Finlandia Hall & Pikku-Finlandia

When Oras Invest celebrated 20 years of industrial ownership, the event brought together key figures from Finnish business life – along with a world-renowned metal band.

There was no unnecessary formality – just engaging discussions in a relaxed atmosphere. This perfectly captures the warm and unpretentious spirit of Oras Invest’s 20th anniversary celebration.

Oras is a well-known family business to all Finns. In 1999, they became the largest shareholder in Uponor, marking the beginning of a new era of industrial ownership in the company’s history. As their holdings grew, Oras Invest was established to manage them.

In the case of Oras Invest, it is not about traditional stock market investing. The family-owned company is an active owner, developing their industrial companies with a long-term perspective. This vision also formed the foundation of the anniversary seminar programme.

The event gathered 200 key figures from Finnish business life: executives, shareholders, board chairpersons and other stakeholders of Oras Invest.

From the outset, the guiding idea was to bring together representatives of different companies and influential figures to discuss shared themes. This goal was exceeded beyond expectations. It was particularly encouraging that, despite busy schedules, most guests attended both the seminar and the gala dinner.

Wolttigroup delivered the event in collaboration with Oras Invest. The programme was divided between a seminar held at Pikku-Finlandia and a gala dinner at the recently reopened Finlandia Hall. High-quality service and an excellent participant experience defined the occasion.

The seminar content was carefully curated. While this should always be the starting point, it is worth emphasising when participants are investing their valuable time. Alongside inspiring keynote speeches, open discussion played a central role. Guests did not attend solely for the programme, but also to reconnect with familiar faces and build new relationships.

The relaxed atmosphere carried through to the evening’s dinner event. People knew one another and genuinely enjoyed each other’s company. Annika Paasikivi, Chair of the Board of Oras Invest, shone as the host, and the evening featured an address by Prime Minister Petteri Orpo.

Entertainment was provided by Apocalyptica, one of Finland’s most successful musical exports, who ultimately brought the atmosphere to its peak. The cello-based metal ensemble, blending metal and symphonic elements, was a bold choice that resonated strongly with the audience.

In the end, the unique atmosphere was created by the encounters between people.
